Triumphs! – April 2017

Enjoy music from The Triumphs of Oriana, a fascinating collection of madrigals from 1601 by the best composers of the time, which may (or may not) have been written to honor Queen Elizabeth I. We’ll also offer classics by Aaron Copland, music for choir, harp and organ with guest organist Janet Tolman, new music by Robert Convery, Gabriel Jackson and Gerald Near, and a piece in Welsh – a first for ARS.
